Can you see where this movie is going yet? Thus fueling Perseus with a need for vengeance. – During all this commotion we see Perseus’ family get killed because of Hades punishment of the humans disrespect of Zeus. Conversely, we just as quickly see that Zeus ( Liam Neeson) is not pleased about this and is convinced by the very creepy Hades ( Ralph Fiennes) to strike back by threatening the humans with the Kraken to turn them against each other. – Very quickly after this, and I mean extremely quickly, we see that the humans want to declare war on the Gods for using their prayers to be immortal but not giving anything back to them. So we know from the first couple of scenes who the main character of the story is and who will probably survive. – The movie opens up by quickly catching us all up on the story of Perseus’ ( Sam Worthington) early life, telling us that the character is special in some way. WARNING: If you have not seen the new Clash of the Titans, do NOT read any further.

If you want to have a 3D film please, I beg of you, film it in 3D. I refuse to support the Hollywood craze to up-convert movies. The only thing that I would like to say is I have not seen the 3D version on principle.

The Percy Jackson book series was one of my favorites because of its use of Greek mythology. One of my favorite types of media is mythology-based fantasy. I personally have never seen the original but have heard about how enjoyable it was and will probably be renting it for a watch some time soon. Well the new Clash Of The Titans looks to capitalize on this trend in movies. This is especially true when it comes to the genre of science fiction and fantasy. Over the past couple years it seems like every month or two we get the pleasure of a new remake. When Perseus finds out it is too late, he must hurry into battle to stop the Kraken and save the princess Andromeda from her fate.Looking for another remake? Well you’ve come to the right place, or better yet time. He is urged by his dying guardian Io to hurry, as the Kraken will shortly be released. Along the way, Perseus' entire crew dies, but he succeeds in defeating Medusa, taking hold of her head, and killing Calibos in the process. They must venture to the underworld to retrieve her. They escape Calibos and a pack of scorpions that spring out of his blood, and they find out the only way to stop the Kraken is with the head of Medusa, which will turn the monster and anyone who looks into its eyes to stone.

Perseus, who finds out he is in actuality the half-son of Zeus and thus a demigod, leads a crew to find witches that will tell them how to defeat the Kraken, but Hades sends the wicked Calibos to kill them all. Hades' punishment: Andromeda must be sacrificed to the gods, or he will release The Kraken, an incredible monster. Furthermore, when the Queen declares her daughter Andromeda to be more beautiful than Aphrodite, Zeus gives permission to Hades to punish the humans. When a statue of Zeus is destroyed in Argos, the Furies are unleashed to punish them, which in turn kills a family of fishermen, leaving only the son, Perseus, alive. They grow angry with each defiance of their godly powers. In ancient Greece, the gods are growing weak: their power derives from the faith the mortals have in them.
